Definition Of Mantra
Here is a definition of mantra, its effects, and benefits of mantra chanting... Yoga that is practiced with power mantras is called mantrayoga. This includes, Pranayama, Asana, and Dhyana. These
healing and powerful mantras
are sacred symbols and charged sounds. The daily practice of mantra yoga enables you to merge the subtle and gross universies into yourself, into pure consciousness, giving you a state of bliss, peace, and relaxation. A wonderful quote from a great saint said: "To understand the power of letters is to attain everything." The are two kinds of meditation. One is repeating mantras with the breath, the other is not repeating a mantra.
When you are in pure meditation there is no repeating of the mantra. Just silence. You reach that state through the use of the mantras. As you sit and repeat the mantras more often, the mantra disappears, and you are in the state of pure meditation. Every sound has a vibration, whether repeated silently or publicly. Along with an focused intention, results will manifest based on that intention. Mantras start a powerful vibration corresponding to a spiritual energy and a physical energy frequency. When repeated more and more, you become entrained or vibrate at the level of the mantra being repeated, and gain specific benefits related to that mantra. What is the definition of mantra?
