Hand Yoga Mudras

Powerful Mudra Symbols And Hand Yoga Poses

Hatha Yoga Hand Mudras are symbolic gestures. Each one can bring about a certain experience of consciousness.

They energetically stimulate and influence parts of the brain, depending which one you use. Mostly used for emotional, mental and physical healing.

Try them out when...

  1. performing your hatha yoga poses

  2. practicing your deep breathing exercises and pranayama

  3. and, to deepen your hatha yoga meditation experience

Chin Mudra

Chin Mudra is the best-known of all hand yoga Mudras.

The thumb is universal consciousness. The index finger is the individual human consciousness.

As we perform Chin Mudra, especially in hatha yoga meditations, we become one with the universal consciousness, the one mind.
