Lord Shiva Mantra Yoga
In mantra yoga, the Lord Shiva mantra is three identical power mantras:
Hamsa -- I am ThatSo'ham -- That I am Shivo'ham -- I am Shiva This Lord Shiva mantra of hamsa and so'ham is the natural mantra of the breath - pranayama. Utilizing this mantra with the in-breath and out-breath, assists in
meditation.
The sound of the breath draws one into the awareness and identity with the Absolute, Lord Shiva. Here are the three instructions for each of these
power mantras.
Hamsa
- as you naturally breath in, repeat in your mind "ham"
- let there be a slight pause
- as you naturally breath out, repeat in your mind "sa"
So'ham
- as you naturally breath out, repeat in your mind "so"
- let there be a slight pause
- as you naturally breath in, repeat in your mind "ham"
Shivo'ham
- as you naturally breath out, repeat in your mind "shivo"
- let there be a slight pause
- as you naturally breath in, repeat in your mind "ham"
There are also powerful, positive mantras for:
Goddess Lakshmi,
Ganesha, Saraswati, Kali Durga, Green Tara, Tantric, Kundalini, and many more. There are also many, many Lord Shiva mantra chants, and ultimately all healing mantras chanted with pure intention are Lord Shiva.
