Start this hatha yoga pose in the kneeling posture, then sit back onto your heels.
Use cushions under the buttocks for more comfort
spread the feet apart and sit between your feet if you desire
keep your back and neck straight and lengthened.
Place your palms in your lap or on your thighs
take a few minutes and turn your senses inward
be aware of your natural breathing
repeat silently, om as you breathe in
and om as you breathe out.
When you have completed your meditation, slowly come out of the pose
