Auspicious Pose -- Bhadrasana

Also known as Cobblers Pose.

  • helps the health of prostate, urinary, and reproductive organs

  • easier childbirth

  • low back pain and neck stiffness can be greatly reduced

  1. Start seated, maybe on a cushion

  2. bending your legs, bringing your heels toward your groin area, as close as possible

  3. allow your knee's to go outward and rest on the floor, or some cushioning.

  4. Gently scoop your sacrum and tail-bone down and under, stretching the low back

  5. lengthen your spine and neck upward, relaxing shoulders, opening up the chest

  6. feel your back and legs receiving a great stretch as you sit for a minute.

  7. You can Absorb yourself in one of the meditation techniques, and sit for fifteen minutes.

  8. Remember to raise your hips with a cushion to allow you to be more comfortable in the pose

  9. use other props: pillows and cushions to allow your legs to fully relax where they are right now.

  10. When complete, slowly come out of Auspicious Pose, refreshed for the next asana.
