Mudra'sMudras are yoga asana or postures performed by the hands. They are very subtle and have an amazing beneficial effect on the whole body and mind, especially in meditation.

The above is called Mandala Mudra and is the gesture of wholeness.
It's wonderful for balancing the mind and emotions, and especially helpful in emotional challenges and bringing greater clarity. This mudra stimulates the five elements, allowing your energy to move freely through the subtle channels called nadi's and chakra's. The thumb represents fire, the index finger air, the middle finger sky or ether, the ring finger is earth and the pinky is water. - place your right hand on top of the left and touch the tips of the thumbs
- rest your hands comfortably in your lap
- close your eyes and breathe naturally
- sit quietly for about five minutes and allow a sense of wholeness to embrace you
